Welcome! We would love for you to come and visit, even if you don't plan on participating in any of the planned events. The schedule below will let you know where and when to catch up with the group. Other things you might enjoy doing are - window shopping, sightseeing, visiting the museums, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, night skiing, going to the rec center, tubing, etc. Meals will be provided in our homes except where noted in the schedule. |

| Travel and Weather |
The weather in March can be very varied. Some years we have had very warm days, in the 40s with slushy snow. Other years it has been snowy and in the 20s. The good news is that the -30° nights are over for the winter. The roads around Jackson are usually clear and mostly dry, but watch for small patches of black ice, especially in shady spots in the morning before the temperatures warm up. We may have fresh snow fall. While the roads to Jackson are usually good in March, the roads can get bad if a storm system moves through. | Clothing |
The nights in March can still drop down to zero and below, so bring a warm coat, hat and gloves. If you plan on playing in the snow (skiing, snowboarding, sledding, etc.) bring extra hat and gloves because you will usually get wet. For skiing and snowboarding on Saturday, plan on dressing in layers. Cotton clothing is bad for outdoors in the winter. Synthetics and wool are good choices. It is usually cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon, so you can remove some layers to keep from overheating. The cold here is very different from the cold many other places (like Oklahoma). There is seldom any wind, the humidity is always low, and when the sun is shining, it can be very comfortable even in the 20s. |
